Hydrant Fee Remittance Information

Dear Upper Uwchlan Resident:

You may have recently received a hydrant fee bill from the Chester County Treasurer's office. A hydrant fee is charged to property owners who have a fire hydrant within 780 feet of their property. The fee covers maintenance of and water service to the hydrants, which the Township pays to Aqua.

This is NOT a new fee, but has previously been included as a line item on municipal real estate tax bills.

For 2021, a separate bill has been issued to property owners. The separate bill is a result of the transition to collection by the Chester County Treasurer's office. We apologize for any confusion this has caused. The Township has requested that the County consolidate the bills next year. 

As with this year’s real estate tax bills, the hydrant fee will be collected by the Chester County Treasurer. Remittance information can be found on the back of your bill.
